Important step in the implementation of city’s strategic project: Croatian Government donated the land for Technology Park and Traffic Centre

On May 7 2020, day of St. Domnius, the protector of the City of Split, the Government of the Republic of Croatia donated to the City of Split land at “St. Križ” Dračevac location for the purpose of building the Technology Park and the Traffic Centre of the City of Split.

Eleven buildings are located at the plot of land that measures almost 100.000 square meters in size, with an estimated value of 137,9 million HRK. According to plans once constructed, Technology Park will include business facilities, offices, production halls, laboratory and research centres, public, commercial, administrative, and other necessary facilities.

The Government of the Republic of Croatia initially expressed its intention to donate the former Dračevac barracks to the City of Split in 2018. With the completion of the Land Donation Agreement, Government’s Decision now makes an important step in the realization of the project for Technology Park and Traffic Centre. Construction and equipping of both centres will be co-financed by the European Union.
