SPLIT UNITED, a master plan study for urban revitalisation of East Coast and Kopilica has been presented today in Split. Presentation has gathered relevant stakeholders; State Secretary for infrastructure from Ministry of sea, traffic and infrastructure Tomislav Mihotić, Split Mayor Andro Krstulović Opara, director of European bank for reconstruction and development in Croatia Victoria Zinchuk, representatives from Split-Croatia County and neighbour cities and municipalities, Split City Council representatives, representatives of Croatian Roads Ltd, Croatian Motorways Ltd, Croatian Railways and Port Authority, which are partners in the project.
Master plan draft has been presented by James Mathwes from Austrian company IC Consulenten, Christof Schremmer from Austrian Institute for Regional Studies and Spatial Planning (ÖIR), Gunter Stocker from Snizek + Partner Verkehrsplanungs GmbH and Filip Vučagić from Colliers, who, besides Gunther Lehner from Real Consulting Austria and Erich Dallhammer from ÖIR, have been working on master plan in the previous year.
Development of master study has been financed by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development non-refundable funds at the amount of 589.930,00 EUR and it presents systematic and strategic planning for city development in the next 50 years. Master plan will also be incorporated in “Development Strategy of the City of Split unitl 2030” on which Split Development Agency is intensively working as local coordinator.
